Use a strong solution of vinegar, very warm water, and a squirt of dish soap. First go over the tub with a large brush with plastic bristles of medium firmness, then clean it with a plastic scrubbing sponge.

Yes, it's a great non-toxic cleaner for a variety of things! Mix in a bucket with warm water and use the solution to scrub the bathtub. Rinse with plain warm water. You should use plain white vinegar, which you can buy in big gallons from the store. The dirtier the surface, the more vinegar you mix with the water. I would try one part vinegar to 2 parts water. good luck!

p.s. - baking soda can also be sprinkled on tough stains. scrub with warm water and a brush.
