I need a vacuum diagram for a 1983 mercury marquis with a 3.8L motor. My brakes are weak, and it dies at a stop when in gear. No smart *** answers please

No smart-*** answer given! Go to NAPA AUTO PARTS and pick yourself up a HAYNES manual for this car. Do NOT buy Chilton's as they are too vague. Have you checked the hose comming off your booster? May be collaping due to age.

Yes, if someone didn't remove the emmisions sticker in your
engine compartment, there should be a hose routing diagram
for the vacuum lines printed right on it.

THE PROBLEM C O U L D BE A LITTLE PLASTIC VALVE THAT COMES OFF THE POWER BOOSTER THATS BEHINE THE MASTER CYLINDER. GET INSIDE OF CAR PUMP UP BRAKES AND HOLD DOWN AND START CAR AND SEE IF PEDAL GO'S DOWN A LITTLE WHEN STARTED IF NOT THATS NOT THE PROBLEM JUST LOOKING ON THE CHEAP SIDE FIRST ALSO COULD BE POWER BOOSTER

Check the library for an auto repair manual...they should have it.
