This was an OLD woman taking her bag of trash to the dumpster and it was obvious that she had a hard time just moving. I was wondering what others would have done.

no, she's old. at a certain age, it doesn't matter anymore. she may be hard of hearing & wouldn't that be embarrassing if you had to repeat 10x "your panties are showing!" , and she answers "my panties are whhhhattt?"
so, no.
also you may embarrass her & make her feel even older than she is and/or senile.

Yes! You'd want to know if you were in that situation, wouldn't you?!
You could walk up to her and say, "Ma'am, you have a little problem back here ... let me help you," while reaching back an pulling her dress out of her panties. Then, if you really want to be kind, offer to put her trash in the dumpster for her. Whatever she says, give her a smile and a nod, and walk away ... with her trash, if she lets you take it to the dumpster for her ... otherwise, just go.

Depends on whether or not there were other people around to see. If it was just you and her, you might have saved her some embarrassment by not pointing it out. But, if there was a chance of others seeing it, she probably would have been grateful if you had gone over and told her, and maybe helped her get the dress down if she couldn't do it on her own.

first off I would help her with hr bag of trash,and ask her if she need any more bags brought out....then I would ever so gently tell her her underwear was stuckin her dress. Always respect your elders you may need some help yearsl later down the line

Yes, I would just walk up behind her, and pull it out as I was telling her what was going on - then leave- no sense in embarrassing the woman more...

Maybe even offer to help her take the bag off.

Especially if you're a woman. If a man were to tell her, it could be misinterpreted (unfortunately true in this day and age).
