If you rough house regularly with them, this will likely be an ongoing problem. I would recommend just making fun of it yourself, or laughing it off. Don't worry too much. People know that kids generally have bruises and scratches, and medical professionals and others know what to look for, and how bruises look when they have ocurred from abuse.

Dont worry about it!! You could tell them that you fell off your bike. It happens all the time it the summer! It could be a lot worse, you could come to school with a broken leg and have to tell everybody how you did it!! teehee!! Yeah- I've had a broken leg on the first day and this year I will have a hyperextended knee!! Lucky me. Umm... playing fight is not a good idea- one of theese days someone could get seriousily hurt.

Be happy and go about your business. People who try to hide marks or who look sullen and withdrawn in addition to banged up are the ones that get the "are you abused" questions. I wouldn't worry about it and if someone asks, laugh and say "No, I've been roughhousing with my little sister and dog. It's been a fun summer!" and you should be fine.
Peace!

Pantyhose and long-sleeved undershirts. The heat won't help, though.
