I'm a Renthead too! And so this question is very hard - I love all the songs. Even the tiny, bit ones. Sooo, I won't be able to pick just one song, but I'll try and narrow down my list!
I love La Vie Boheme, as I think everyone does, and the reprise of I'll Cover You, and I adore Santa Fe. Probably, the one closest to my all time favorite Rent song is the movie version of Santa Fe. I am NOT a fan of the movie - I do not think it was a good adaption of the amazing stage version, but Jesse L. Martin's additions to the original song were so amazing. I'm so glad he got a chance to sing it again with all the additions, because almost all the actors who played Collins on Broadway changed the song a bit, so it was really cool to hear all the changes and additions from the original Collins.
