Not my idea, I saw this on "Meet the Press" and would like to know how you all feel about this administration's abuse of power.

And of course, after watching Condi Rice, shuck and jive for a half hour about the quagmire the chickenhawks have put is in with the middle east foulups. They didn't address it. I feel so used. (just kidding). As an afterthought. MTP did not use the term fascist right wing extremists, I did. Fascisim is to quote Wikipedia...

Fascism is a radical totalitarian political philosophy that combines elements of corporatism, authoritarianism, extreme nationalism, militarism, anti-anarchism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism.

Why kidnap it when you can put it in a coma and ignore it.

That way, the people who care about it spend all their time trying to revive it, and the would-be kidnappers don't have to spend any time keeping it under guard.

Which frees the extremists to spend their efforts doing more damage.

{Edit} For those who don't know how to look up the definition of the word Fascist: "An adherent of fascism or other right-wing authoritarian views". Fascism: "A political theory advocating an authoritarian hierarchical government (as opposed to democracy or liberalism)."

So, given that any group can have extremists, and that fascism is by definition an extreme authoritarian belief that is anti-liberal and contrary to democracy, there probably are at least some people who qualify as "fascist right wing extremists".

You should not have used the term facist right wing extremists, that term was not used on Meet the Press. However, the administration has undermined equality of the three branches of government, made unprecidented use of signing statements to ignore provisions and intent of laws passed by congress and promoted the idea of a "unitary executive" which certainly sounds like a dictator to me. Also republican electoral tactics certainly have undermined amercan democracy. We are going down a dangerous road, and those who make light of this have their heads in the sand, so to speak.

I do not know anyone on the right wing that is a fascist. It is funny how many people on the left say that and then when you ask them what is "fascism" they don't have a clue. And no the right wing is not overthrowing democracy, we are desperately fighting for democracy against liberals.

That what the Israeli lobby did to America:
"Every time we do something you tell me America will do this and will do that . . . I want to tell you something very clear: Don't worry about American pressure on Israel. We, the Jewish people, control America, and the Americans know it." -- Ariel Sharon to Shimon Peres, October 3rd, 2001, as reported on Kol Yisrael Israeli radio
