Why is Israel targeting innocent civilians in Lebanon?

So far, Israel's air attacks have killed over 1000 innocent civilians including women, children, babies AND UN observers! Isn't that considered terrorism? Why don't they just target Hizbullah soldiers? How come israel can get away with targeting and killing civilians without being labeled a terrorist state?

THIS IS THE TRUTH, I live in the Middle East, so I know what's going on. I try to be neutral in this.
Ok, the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah goes back. So you see Israel occupies the land of the Golan Heights. The Golan Heights are owned by Syria, but Hassan Nasarallah (Leader of Hezbollah) told Israel to leave the land. Israel refused and said that Syria has to tell them to leave. Syria kept quiet. Hassan kept telling them to leave until war broke out. Now Hezbollah kidnapped 2 Israeli soldiers. Israel now bombs areas even away from the Lebanese border (Where the Hezbolla organization is). The purpose of this, is to make the civilians tell Hezbolla to release the soldiers, so Israel will stop bombing them, but the civilians are not giving in. Some people say Israel bombs residential buildings because Hezbollah fighters are in their, but Israel bombed many places far away from eachother, and it is impossible to know the wereabouts of all the Hezbollah members, so this can't be true. Although some of the bombings were intended to kill members, but not all were - others were to intemidate the civilians and make them remove Hezbollah from their country. Israel claimed the bombing of the school children was because Hassan was hiding their - after an investigation no trace of Hassan was there (Israel claimed he was in the basement, yet it was untouched). The real reason they bombed the school was to show the civilians that they are not affraid to do anything. So the conflict goes on...

listen - uve been brainwashed by the media. hezbullah and hamas hide behind civilians. these are cowardly terrorists who dont give a crap about civilian lives. israel has warned many times through pamphlets and signs and news broadcasts for all civilians to leave any place where hezbullah is active cause they will attack. anyone who doesnt leave is obviously sending a very clear message as to where their loyalties lie. so the media has done its job well. u, as well as many other ppl, think that israel likes killing citizens and that they're attacking way out of proportion. well lets think about this. israel is a small country which wasnt attacking anyone. soldiers get killed and abducted for no reason. israel wants their soldiers back so they go on an offensive, attacking only military strongholds and hezbullah outposts as opposed to hezbullah which attacks haifa and other cities, which are not targeted due to military strategy, but rather due to the fact that they can cause the most terror in these places. and lets not forget, as i already mentioned, that these military strongholds and offices of hezbullah are places which happen to be hidden behind the civilians. israel warns many times and then fires. so who is really at fault?

its time to be honest with yourself. U know that Israel has done nothing wrong. If u were a leader of a country and three of ur soldiers were abducted, would u just say "who cares, it's only three soldiers"? of course not. and plus, if israel didnt respond, it would keep on happening. thats why israel wont even consider a prisoner swap with these terrorists cause they know that as soon as they even make one deal (which is completely rediculous - thousands of lebonise, many of which murdered innocent jewish ppl, for 3 soldiers who have done nothing but protect civilians) more soldiers will get abducted and terrorism will prevail.

NO, they are not targeting civilians like the press would want you to believe, as a former United States Marine, I have seen enemy hide behind civilians to take a chance of living, like the cowards that they are, and unfortunately sometimes when a missile, rocket or grenade is launched, it misfires, goes astray. That is a chance taken in war, but if someone does not stop the hezbollah, then there will be a Osama Bin Laden Junior lose on the earth, we really don't need that.

This is very simple. For 58 years, one group or another of terrorists have attacked Israel, then they run as fast as they can to hide among women and children. Thus, Israel has to either stop defending itself, which means all 6.2 million Israelis including the women and children will soon be dead.

Or, it has to shoot and take out little future terrorists.

It has not only done so for most of that 58 years, it has said it will chase those who attack it even when they hide like the cowardly dogs they are, among women and children.

This is called "human shields".

And, Israel has NEVER deliberately targeted women and children. Anyone who says that is a liar.

If you can tell them how to target only Hez terrorists (not soldiers) when those terrorists are deliberately hiding among human shields, please contact the Israel ambassador in the US and volunteer to show them how. They will be more than glad to learn from your vast military experience in dealing with terrorists who deliberately attack Israeli civilians.

Where did you get this totally amazing military knowledge? From video games?

You illustrate the reason conservatives taking away the right of a liberal to vote. You also make a good poster child for abortion rights. Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah has his terrorists armed with Iranian weapons hidden among the civilian population whilst launching missile genuinely at innocent populations. Surely you know this already but in case others read this that think the victim is the perpetrator, thought I'd set the record straight.

You're ridiculous. Israel doesn't target innocent civilians. What purpose would that serve? On the other hand, Hezbollah has plenty of reason for hiding behind those same civilians to launch attacks--so they can spread the kind of one-sided propaganda bullsh*t you posted here! No, Israel is targeting Terrorists. Israel is also letting the civilians know when their cities will be bombed. The civilian casualities are sad, but its part of war.

They can't label Israel as a terrorist state, because noone has the guts for it.
Why do they target civilians? Because they are reckless, they have some religious/political ideals, and they do whatever it's necessary to achieve them, including taking lives.
Although I hate'em for it, I must say I respect their idealism and persistence. It takes some guts to found a state, surrounded by whole Arabian Peninsula hating you and to oppose all of them in order to achieve your aims.

great question i mean they are trying to attack Hezbollah leaders, but a lot of innocent Lebanese people are dying. I mean Israel is absurdly overreacting. If one person diesd in Israel everyone gets mad and the media eats it up if ten lebaneese people die it will not get as much media.

they want there land, they seem to forget that god told moses in the old testament that the Jews would never have a land to call there home because they went against his commandments.and they never real had a homeland until after world2 when we made the Arabs give up some of there land to the Jews, but they were not happy with that they want ted more land so that is why .there still fighting but they can not beat god so in the end they will still be roaming the land trying to find a homeland.
