I agree with meno25. The wind is caused by pressure differences. But pressure differences are cause by temperature differences.

It depends what you mean by wind! All of these can cause wind!
Temperature differences cause updrafts and downdrafts known as convective currents.
Pressure differences is the cause of much the wind we experience.
The Earth's rotation causes a very insignificant breeze, too, but has an enormous effect on the direction and intensity of pressure gradient winds.

I think it's A. Temperature differences
As the heat from the equator goes to the poles it cools down, and goes back to the equator where it'll be reheated. This causes different temperatures, and may be the answer to your question.

All the above.
Temp diff causes the convection current that moves the air
Cyclone etc caused by the pr differences
Earths rotations also causes the air to flow from the equator to the poles

I think its C your thinking of, though I can best describe it as a combination of the two.
The wind, if heated, rises. That would bring in a cool breeze or wind.
Or if it was cold air, warm air would come from above to replace it, creating wind as well.
Please tell me in a comment if I am thinking of pressure systems.

i say B idk if temp has anything to do with the wind other then affecting what it feels like. And i dont think earths rotation has anything to do with wind either....
