Strange question. Yellow Submarine was a 'Ringo Song' so written because Ringo had a limited voice range, so songs for him had to be simple and not too highly pitched, and was seen as a bit of a childlike character. Yellow Submarine was actually written by Paul McCartney aided by Donovan with deliberately short words and easy lyrics so children could sing it. They had, at the time, been contemplating children's drawings, one of which had multicolored submarines on it. This was the time of 'Flower Power' when lots of bright colours in fashion were the norm.

In the recording John played acoustic Gibson Jumbo, Paul on bass, Ringo on drums and George's only contribution was on tambourine. The brass band was added later.

John Lennon was cremated in December 1980 after being shot.
