I'm going to have to say that Talladega Nights is as funny as Anchorman. It had plenty of classic moments and moments where you fall out of your seat laughing. If you have ANY sense of humor, I would suggest seeing this movie, because trust me, you won't be disappointed. As regards to professional critics, they have their opinions but they never do give comedy movies their due.

talladega nights is well worth taking a night to go see. i went with some friends to see it and it was worth every penny.

It is wonderfully funny. Its so funny you'll want to see it over again. Also, movie critics are dead, they have no sense of humor. So any movie they don't like is most likely good.
