Effectiveness is above 99% (better than condoms). Some women may experience a decrease in sexual desire, but it´s not very common.

When used according to the directions (taken at the same time each day, no pills skipped) the Pill is 99%+ effective, which is higher than condoms. I have not personally experienced a decrease in sexual desire, but some women seem to.

I have been on it for a couple years and I have not gotten pregnant! Seriously, I think it's over 90% effective. No change in sexual desire either. I love the pill. I only have to remember to take it every day!!

it is 99.9% effective when taken everyday , around the same time. condoms are only 87% effective (againt pregnacies that is)
the pill increases not decreaes your sex drive .soem pills are made with just one hormone like orthro tri cyclen lo , Trileven, Yazmin have just estogen while some others have estrogen and progesterone . its more advisable to stick to the one with just one hormone in them . you may expierence fluctuations in your weight but it depends on your body and metabloism . you may have bad PMS sympoms and be very emotional during those times beacuse remember you are dosing your self with estra hormones everyday so your body hasm to adapt. i think its the best formof birth control cuz it wokred ofr me for 2 years and ill prolly go back to it when next im ina serious relationship . just know your body thats all

I was on it for 9 years and it was fully effective for me. Also, it never decreased desire....you just don't get that "crazy" mid-cycle horniness like you do from ovulation where you feel that you need it or you're going to die! ;)

Not on the pill anymore, but took it for years when I was younger. I never got pregnant while on the pill, and it never decreased my libido either.

Remember that all percentages are for when it's taken correctly...it can be really easy to forget it or take it late or whatever.
