My friend has the '01 LX and he says it's "Luxury Edition". I think he's full of **** ... any help to prove that bastard wrong would RULE! Thanks

Special Edition, Sport Edition

Most of the time they don't really mean anything - they just represent a trim line on the car. A LE or "Luxury Edition" may only have 1 or 2 more options than a SE. Some manufacturers are getting away from using these model designations, instead just offering premium packages, sport packages etc. that can be applied across the entire vehicle line-up

LX usually means luxury. ES i'm not sure...you might mean SE...which could possibly mean standard edition.

dx was base, the lx had power options and sunroof, the es was sporty
