I don't really want one, but my dad wants me to have one. I asked him why and he said "Because you just should!" What do you think?

Steph, Maybe your dad didn't get one and wishes he had. Is he going to pay for it? If he is, let him. It may make you happy down the road.

I bought a class key for my bracelet rather than a ring. You might get one instead and put it on your key chain.
I wanted the memory without a ring I really didn't want.

I never went to any reunions of either high school, the community college, nor the 4-yr. institution after that.

i got a class ring, a total waste of $$ if you ask me.

It's just something sentimental people would enjoy, i mean, if you're a girl, it won't even go with most of your outfits and is a total waste of money.

the only person a class ring benifits, is the jeweler, no one else.

the yearbook is more than enough.

I didnt get one or want one while in school, and looking back I really didnt miss out on anything. If you dont want it whats the point? Just some company making money out of "cherished memories". Why have something you dont want taking up space in your real cherished belongings?

It's something nice to look at and reflect on from your high school memories. It's not necessary though. If you don' want one, then you don't HAVE to get one. But if he's going to pay for it, then why not?
