Hello,
My advice to you is to practice performing in front of your parents first and then gradually invite a few more of your family members and friends in untill you feel more comfortable with a large crowd. what you can also do is in school join your school choir or even enter your schools talent shows. Trust me,when I was your age (now 29 years old) I was in my school's choir and was terrified the first time I had to perform in front of the whole school too, but you know what? I was more blinded by the bright light that was in my face that I sang the whole time without feeling nervous because I couldn't even see the front row of people. LOL!! I am sure you will do just fine. Once you perform a few times in front of people you'll start to feel more comfortable.
I'll be looking forward to hearing your talent soon! Just remember to shine bright focus on your talent and as long as you have the "WILL POWER" you can shine as bright as you want!
BEST OF LUCK TO YOU!!!

I don't know if EFT is good for kids. www.emofree.com helps deal with all sorts of phobias, and fears.
Things you can do now are take opportunities to talk in front of people. When you get into high school, take debating class if they have it. Take every opportunity to give class presentations.
Yes, I see your problem. There may be many excellent singers who go no where because they may sing well, but their actions and stage presence simply aren't adequate. And, of course, acting activities, chorus, anything that puts you in front of a group.
Do be patient, and don't give up too soon. Read Elvis' bio and see how old he was when he got his start. Not that it is likely most will be in his category, he has been dead, um, 28 years and y'all probably at least know who I mean, right?
At the same time, do have another occupational goal, because public entertainment is very competitive, and many are called but few are chosen.
I remember Connie Francis' bio. If you can get it, though the music type is different, that is fascinating. She had decided that her trial record, WHO'S SORRY NOW?' was not going anywhere, and had signed up for college, when W.S.N. hit the top 100...

The more you sing in front of people the easier it will get. Start small with some friends. You'll do just fine. Remember everyone gets nervous and their voices crack at first but you can get past it!
GOOD LUCK YOU'LL DO GREAT
BTW I LOVE COUNTRY MUSIC!!! I'm listening to Sugarland right now = )~

I had the same thing. You have to start small, but do it.
Start with concerts for a friend or two, who won't criticise. Your family. Just keep working to progressively larger audiences, and soon it will be natural.

maybe try staring at the wall in the back. Move your eyes around so its not in one place
Or you could try keeping your eyes closed and only opening them every once in awhile. As if you were concentrating on the music.

keep practicing in front of your family and friends. do it over and over and keep working on it. even if you are terrified, accept it and tell your self that you are going to do it anyway. good luck!
