I told a friend abroad.

One year later I wrote a letter to my parents (About 2 weeks ago)

Now I am openly telling people. So far noone has had any problems - About 20 people know.

I'm not gay, but I did help a friend come out.
Well.. I have a big mouth, and this guy was obviously gay, but denied it. So I just asked him if he was gay. He walked away and called me the next day and we met and he told me everything. How he tried to come out when he was younger and his friend stopped talking to him, and how he was afraid to tell anyone, and how no one ever asked him.
Right after that he came out. I supported him the whole way and now he is living a happy gay life with his partner and their adopted daughter.

The first time I ever mentioned it was to a friend I work with and I couldn't belive I had said any thing like that exspecally there. She was open about the hole thing. I felt so much better after I got it off my chest.

I was married to a man for 20 years. My now significant other moved in next door...I was gone within months from my marriage just to be with her. We have been together for 14 years. I loved her so much I just through it out there. My mom was o.k. with it and my 4 sisters but it took my dad quite some time for it to digest...My kids are the one's who introduced us so they adore her.

Major drama for me! In a nutshell, my brother's boyfriend dumped him for me (I didn't even know my brother had a boyfriend, he was still closeted to me). Basically, brother found out and called everyone in the family...it was really a fun holiday season that year. You should view the family photos!

I came out when my partner of 12 yrs. died. My mom came up from Fl. and the first thing she said was now we got to find you man. I told her NO, I wasn't living the lie any more, life was too short for that. And she could accept me for who I was or go back home to Fl. Of course she accepted me, and of course she still doesn't approve of my "life style".

My mom took care of that for me. She opened a letter from my boyfriend that was addressed to me and called me at work to confront me.
