DEFINITELY take her! It's really a beautiful play, with lots of folly and playfulness. More of a cheerful atmosphere... not dark and lurking.
I didn't note anything suggestive and there were many school groups also at the play in Chicago. My son went with his class, as well. There are no real frightening scenes, but for children, the "larger-than-life" drama of the stage and costumes can be intimidating.
You should most definitely take her!
She will love it! And so will YOU!!
(To keep her from being intimidated by the sets, don't sit too close - that is too stimulating and "larger than life" for younger children, especially if it's her first play.)

I have not seen the musical, but I have read the book, and the book is definitely not appropriate for a six-year-old. Aside from some "inappropriate" content, the story also has some very deep themes in it that simply would not be comprehended by someone so young.

OK I haven't seen it but I do have the soundtrack book etc. I think its fine, I mean she has seen wizard of OZ, some might find it scary and there is only a little romance scene but I'm sure she'll be listening to the music and won't even understand the "sexual part" but I would really recommend to see it if you get the chance I mean this might be the only time she'll be able to see it !!! And it teaches good life lessons!!!

You should buy tickets now, because the show is probably already sold out.
Anyway, no there's nothing scary, just the wizard. If they can sit through Beauty and the Beast they can sit through Wicked. Most kids LOVE LOVE LOVE this show. There is absolutely nothing sexual about it.
Definitely a good one.

she can handle it. the begining is a little inappropriate because of the afair and stuff but its a really good show. seen it twice and omg she should go c it! its amazing! she'll love it! its not really scary a little suspencefull maybe but not at all scary. most of it is dark and stuff so if shes scared of the dark then its not the besst idea. but i think she's gonna love it! its powerful, sends a good message!

No, friend performed as Glinda (KC) The show is about the friendship of the witches of OZ, right before Dorothy drops in. If there allowed to watch Wizard of Oz they can watch this!!

I would probably say no. Any musical that is on broadway or otherwise isn't meant for such young children, especially a musical named "Wicked". If she likes live plays, take her to see something more age appropriate.

If you think she can handle that stuff. The book is rather macabre and R, but the play is PG/PG-13. She can probably sit through it.

Personally, I force my kids to listen to " Cowboys from hell" by Pantera every morning before I send them off to preschool.
