Kanye for me is like that first time you rode your bike without training wheels. I love his music, beats and lyrics with logic!
And Jill Scott is sooo love and family and friends focused and learning from the past instead of living or dwelling in it.

Although I'm mostly into jazz, I love Cowboy Troy's "Loco-Motive" CD. Its a well-produced and funny parody of country mixed with hip-hop: "hick-hop".
