I've heard that even birds and bees can do it, even morons and idiots can do it. It doesn't seem to take much brain power - a cockroach can do it.
So what do you think? Sex is stupid?

My stepson turned angrily to leave the room and walked into the edge of the open door and banged his forehead, he kicked the door and called it 'stupid.'
I let him know that when we moved house I'd make certain that we had only 'intelligent doors,' the type which knew not to get in his way.
'Sex' cannot be stupid because there would have to be 'intelligent sex,' just to balance things out.
However, if you think of it that way, then it suggests a great deal more about you - than it does about a quite complex subject.
[ As you suggest, any moron or idiot or cockroach ( or a reasonably bright individual too ) can 'do sex,' it's just for 'sex' and any attendant emotion to mean something more than just a 'spasm in the loins' which makes for it to have meanings and satisfactions - other than just a 'spasm in the loins'. ]
I hope that you find pleasures beyond your 'spasms.'

Most of the time these days sex is stupid. It costs a lot of money in the end if you get pregnant and there are more than enough people in the world already given the pollution and problems with overcrowding worldwide. Just enjoy the people who are already here and make the world a better place so that we can all survive for awhile. But given the alternative make love not war.

Sex is an act, not a species. Therefore it can not be stupid. Some of the people who engage in the act can be quit stupid at times. This question is just more evidance to support the theory that says the humen gene pool is in need of thinning.

Then I suppose that eating and sleeping are stupid? It doesn't take brain power for them either. Sex is sex. It can be very satisfying for both mates if they care enough about each other to make that happen. No, sex is not stupid but lots of stupid have sex.

I guess if you look at it in a clinical sort of way, completely objective and with no interest, sex might look stupid. Oh, and morons and idiots can do it, but they probably aren't doing it right...just ask their sex partners.

Why is it stupid if all the other creatures can do it? Further, just because anyone can do it, doesn't mean they can do it well. That takes skill and practice. Finally, you sound like a very young teenager who doesn't really know what he is talking about.

sometimes, I mean, if you think about it I suppose there is some reason to what you are saying. The faces that we make, the noises. It can be pretty stupid. But it feels good. and we (me and my husband) love to have it every day.
