In the past I measured intelligence on the basis of mathematical / science proficiency.

But now I find that such people are not too good at understanding human behavior or solve problems in everyday life.

I believe now that an ability to understand humans better is more important, and a warm and understanding person stands a better chance at being successful in life.

Generally, yes, but it's going to depend on your definition of successful.

Women without careers have more children. If you're defining "successful" as reproductive success, then women who excel at math and science are less successful.

depends on what college they go to... but most college experiences are the same.. you have to be well rounded.. if you excel in math and science and flunk English and history that's not going to help... but if they are a math genius they could go to MIT and never have to take an English class again.. it all depends.. and for the social aspect... college isn't like high school or middle school.. social labels and name calling aren't cool in College.. you get to meet a lot of people and you make a lot of friends.. and for life... its always good to be good at something in life..
