There are two ways.

You can get a piece of transparent graph paper at your craft store (you can color on it with coloring pencils to trace your design and reuse it when you're done).

You can also get software that does this from your computerized images.

The first is very low-tech and works well in some cases.

The second is a little more high-tech, but also useful.

Some links to software companies that do this:

There are programs that create cross stitch patterns. If you can put your painting on the computer by either scanning it or by taking a photo and putting it on the computer these progrms can turn it into a pattern. You can choose how many colours you want to use and the size of the design. I use the DMC Cross Stitch pattern designer.

I surely have used both PCStitch and Patternmaker. i want to remodel panorama or artwork images into charts. i love Pattermaker better positive because it does a miles better positive interest of replacing the photo to a chart that feels like the source photo. A guide is attainable to receive for Patternmaker, no longer yet for PCStitch. PCStitch tech help instructed me that they are engaged on tutorials for his or her internet web site, yet that changed into over a 365 days in the past and that i have not considered it yet. in case your artwork isn't very particular, PCStitch may be better positive because the interface for engaged on filling in a drawing is better positive by ability of slightly than the interface in Patternmaker. PCStitch is used better for kinds on the internet, yet maximum are study-in easy words, so the loose reader will be ok. there could properly be some subject matters with having both PM and computers reader as previous PM information have the same .pat extension for challenge document names as computers. from time to time my workstation assigns the incorrect document form to downloaded information and that i have a troublesome time replacing that so i'm able to open the document.
