Over time different styles of music become popular and the previous style becomes less popular. Right now rap and hiphop is the most popular. Do you think rap and hiphop will die out leading to a different type of music that everyone will be listening to? If so, WHEN and WHAT type of music do you think will replace rap and hiphop? What music do YOU prefer to replace rap and hiphop?

Hmm Lemme see I been here 50+ yrs in that time I, not talking bout what was popular, been through tail end of Blues, Folk music Rock & Roll, then phychedelic music, then Punk! I'm still stuck in the 50's with the Blues! But of course rap is gonna die, the kids born in the 90's when they start making music gonna do things people today can't imagine! Like making music from midi files and things like that! It's already happening!

Nope... Never.... it's been going 30 years strong! (since the late 70's)
Think about a persons normal life expectancy.... 30 years old is not too old. It can be another 50 - 60 years of Hip Hop if not more!

You are so right! My bf and I were discussing that a couple of days ago. I think that NEO SOUL will replace a lot of R&B but we think that Rap will be the same with just another name. Not sure though...

i used too till i found why kinda. in the process the day a different set of regs come out, incredibly in the process the faculty year. it is while the little ones are long gone and the adults kinda take over. it is definitely a brilliant sort of sturdy questions suring college hours. Hopefully yes. Music change from time to time. I hope that things change. I am not sure what kind of music will be popular then but i am sure things will change.

i hope not, in my opinion its the only genre of music that people can relate to because it talks about real life
