I don't think you can "be a anesthesiology", but you may wish to become and anesthesiologist if you are American, or an Anaesthetist if you are British.

if you want to be an MD anesthesiologist, go to med school (4 years after you've graduated from college with pre-med courses and 3.6 gpa) and then do 4-year anesthesiology residency.
I know someone who will be a nurse anesthetist-it takes 4 years of nursing school plus two years of grad school.

Anesthesiology is the branch of medicine that Anesthesiologists practice. Anesthesiologists are doctors, so you have to go to med school and then in your residency specialize in anesthesiology.
