i think you have your majors backwards- major in Physcology and minor in soc...you can still get soc jobs and perhaps have your own practice someday.

Go to the best state school you can if that's cheaper- how much quality can you receive when you're working a job and going 2 school too- loans are there only if you can't get a scholarship. Use them but remember they will come due and you HAVE to pay them back...

If you can't get housing on a SCHOLARSHIP then get roomies. Save home as a last option, you need to GROW and living away from the parents is a part of that.

10-20% is very realistic and put it into a ROTH IRA for the first 5 yrs. Then split between the roth and a money market- you want layers of difficulty between you and your nest egg, say when you fall in love with that new sportscar!

you sound like a very pragmatic person who will be a sucess if you keep working- work hard, PLAY hard! good luck...

Your going to do a lot better faster if you own your own business. Thats where all the money is.

check out: www.quixtar.com. This business rocks and it only costs the price of a Costco membership to start your own business! Good luck!

You better double check your choices of Major & Minor.
These will not produce much money!

Do some research and "remember" think ahead!
PS:Computer Science/Programming?
Telecomuniction?
Law?
Medical?

"Think Ahead!"
