What exactly is the movie "Lady In The Water" about? Is she like a mermaid or something?

It based on a old wise tale from long ago about water people helping land people.. No she is not a mermaid. But it is not a scary movie either. Good movie for 9 to 13 year olds.

The movie is about a guy named Cleveland Heep who is maintenance for an apartment complex called the Cove. He has heard complaints that a tenant has been swimming after hours , so he investigates. There he finds Story, the thing on the poster. She's actually called a Narf. No more question's. Go see the movie.

It's a really bad movie and I don't recommend it to anyone. As a matter of fact, it's tanking at the Box Office too.

I thought it was going to be a scary movie but it turned out to be so stupid. A lonely superintendent of a building sees someone swimming in the building's pool after hours (when swimming is banned.) He ends up taking her in and finds out that she's a Narf (which turns out is a bedtime story character). He finds out more about the bedtime story and more about her. He eventually has to get other people in the building to see her and believe that she's real. I won't spoil the whole story but it's really, really stupid and you'll be so disappointed with the ending.

I love M Night (the writer director guy) 's movies. But this one sucked. It was way too long and the plot was all funky and far-fetched. She's a narf. Don't ask me what it is.
