My neighbor once taught me to knit, and I forgot because I was so little and it was really hard for me.
I just found where I left off, and I want to finish it to make it a scarf.
Can someone tell me how to knit?
Or tell me where to go online that tells you very specifically how to knit?
THANKS!!

Some people do well with written instructions and illustrations, and others learn better by watching someone else.

This web site has free videos and is an excellent resource for learning how to knit.

Click on the "Getting Started" tab for a video of a beginner project.

I learnt how to knit when I was 4 and my mum was knitting for the new baby on the way. That was many years ago, but only last winter I wanted to start again and I just found a good web page that explained how to do it step by step and it quickly all came back to me.

Do a search and found the information that appeals to you the most....Enjoy!

There are two ways: English and American

Do you remember how to slip the right needle under the first stitch on the left? Then wrap the yarn around the left needle. Pull the thread through that space, it will create a new stitch and take off the earlier one. Not that good of an explanation, but it's the best I can do without you here.

You can probably visit any yarn store in your city and they will be happy to show you.

Most yarn store and shops also have classes.
maybe an elderly neighbor or someone at a senior center would like to teach you. ( id call a senior ceneter and ask, sometimes they have classes there) also local community classes.
