France will have absoulte advantage having considered the match going to take place in Paris. But with the retirement of Zidane, Thuram, Makelele and Barthez and Azzurri having a new coach Donadoni. I am not so sure.

I suppose it depends on who France have in their team, as so many of their best players have retired, I have not seen who they have got in their squad, so with that in mind I think I will ahve to choose Italy, but I reserve my right as a woman to change my mind later.

With all experienced players (Zidane, Thuram, Makelele, Barthez) retiring..it will be tough for France..so i guess Italy..

Italy will win!!!!!!!!!!!! Italy is by far the better all-around team.

The ref kept France in the game against Italy in this World Cup. Italy should of won 2-0 in regulation! Frances penalty kick was a bad call. Materrazi never touched the French player. Plus Luca Toni's goal in the second half was taken away by a bad offsides call. He definitely wasn't offsides.

France. B/c I think by this time, French players will be careful, instead of play. Italians are shrewd, so French players will definitely take extra precautions, esp. Henry and Ribery b/c they'll be the target. Isn't the team changing, since most of the 12 veterans retired (or not yet...)

hard to say because some players are retiring......France has the advantage of playing in Paris.......Italy will surely play for a tie where as France will press for the win........it's really too early to tell since the make-up of the teams are changing!!

It depends on how much Italy is willing to pay the referees. If its a fair game it will by France. But with Italy playing its never a fair game!

France almost didn't qualify for the wc 06 . It took Zidane's return from international retirement for them to advance.. It won't be easy because the Italians feel they are on the top of the world but the French are stubborn and have new talents like Ribery to keep our hopes alive...

I say

VIVE LES BLUES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's not going to be an easy match for either side. Both teams have points to prove and will play hard. Their pride will allow nothing less. But I know one thing, it's sure going to be strange to see France take the pitch in an International without Zizou. I think that's when reality will set in for me and most of his fans.

France hopefully, if they don't put stupid zidane, I don't like him because it is a bad influence for the kids watching soccer...Yea children say when they play hey do the zidanes' play , and they hit they're friend with the head.
