Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage license. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven't adapted to cars or longer lifespans.Straight marriage will be less meaningful, since Britney Spears's 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.

Gayness isn't a fad or a trend.

People don't wake up and go, "Think I'll be gay." That's like saying "Think I'll be Hispanic."

We are talking about behavior between two consenting adults, so don't import a strawman argument about marrying pets.

And what about Mickey Rooney and Elizabeth Taylor who have 16 marriages between them?

This doesn't shake the foundations of marriage?

I will agree it will change society, but for the better.

Marriage is a committment, not just a drunken weekend binge, like the aforementioned 55-hour Britney Spears marriage.

Heteros can be just as committed or just as frivolous as gays, so what is the honest prohibition against it?

One could even ask you to remove the word "gay" and replace it with "interracial". At one point, that was considered "wrong" with laws against it.

You are ill, and you are seeking answers that may justify your unfortunate perversions. A man is a man and a woman is a woman...REMEMBER that!! The anatomy of both sexex answers the gay marriage issue. How the fcku can you look at another person of same sex and talk about marriage. Put it this way, what a woman can do men are capable of doing it.....But what a man can do NO WOMAN can. If this gay siht was correct why do we have in a female gay relationship, one person mimmicking a man, acting like a man, or playing the role of a man? Likewise a male homo relationship, why is one of the two more "manly" than the other? The fact is it is a perversion of what was NATURALLY meant to be...remember that.

Hello...no woman can FATHER a child and no man can be a MOTHER to a child....cut the crap about this gay thing. I tell you the truth.....Gay relationships are primarily based on persons who have given up the natural because they see it as having failed them in one way or another...its a rebellion against what the creator want. It is the end product of social and psycho-emotional problems, sexual abuse and perversion etc...its not natural...its an unacceptable solution to failure in the lives of mankind.

Check this out.. a gay guy has a special love for his mother because she is who she is; A WOMAN who brought him into this world, a part of a union that produced him. And by the way, the union was NATURAL and not homosexual. Now can a gay couple raising a son guarantee that "their son" will get that feeling when he hugs one of those guys...NO NO NO they are "not the mummy"

Thsi gay thing is just a comfort zone for people who feel uncomfortable in the natural zone. Its not true and sincere.....

gay marriages are unnatural...

practicing anti-gay activism, are we?
or maybe affraid that gay marriage will make people see marriage in a different way..let's say, in the way that you have to feel attracted phisically for someone to get married?in a way that marriege is actually about 2 people fancying each other and wanting to be together, and not simply because of social standards?

No wonder some are affraid of gay marriage then. They want to keep it traditional, or they would be abandoned by their wives, or never get married.
But u know what?this is a battle you have already lost.
And no matter how hard it is to swallow, you will have to live with it, accept it, and understand that more people will be happier and more themselves. And not just shallow society roles who try to please everyone around.

Have u ever tried to please yourself instead of acting in the way everyone expects from you?probably not. majorities are always right. Thats why humanity is so good:)

We believe that governments should not rule in our morals and that these agreements are sought by the government to control us. Therefore when I take a vow/agreement/contract with or without papers, with or without witnesses, it's still my vow whether with my cat, friend or whoever. If I had children, this vow is probably with the gov... marriage, as I wouldn't want my children to suffer being different. I did marry for my children, but never again with the government. I think we should work out the divorce/contract/agreement ending with the council/family at the very day it starts. So I suppose I mean not until death do us part. Of course I would prefer a long one but I like the end in the beginning for the living.
Governments need money and control of it's people to ...well, you can figure that out.

Are you crazy??? Whom in their right mind would marry their dog, or cat, or a cow? I think that is highly unfair and bigoted to suggest that a man or a woman marrying the same sex is the same in a person marrying an animal. I mean for goodness sake do you know how many people have been made miserable in forced marriages and marriages they can't get out of on the account of religion!?! My goodness it is a miserable state for anyone. Homosexuals are welcome to it. Lets see if they fair better with all the statistics of divorce and life-partners. Heterosexual marriage is meaningless as any other. And I'm tired of heterosexuals being called straight, they're as crooked as they come!

I totally disagree. Allowing gay couples to get married is not going to create more gays and where do people keep getting the pet argument from?!? Gay marriage is between two HUMANS! Legalizing gay marriage is legalizing marriage between humans, not animals! And straight marriage has already become meaningless.

I am a Lesbian and I think that by not allowing Gay's the right to marry is negative to everyone.
Imagine being in a community where you are not allowed to marry,,, what then would be the point to be monogamous?
that is where the promiscuity comes in and where diseases can be brought about. When people are told that their love is not valid and they cannot marry then they will tend to just go from one to another.
So Society has brought about this bad image of gays just bed hopping from one to another.
I predict that once gays are allowed the freedom to marry there will be more "settled" people and happier people.
And also there will be less men marrying women for a cover or vise versa.

Gay marriage is just making a mockery of a union that is a Holy union in the eyes of God. Here is some Scripture to back up that it is a detestable thing to God.
Romans 1:26&27-That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males. working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.

Leviticus 20:13-And when a man lies down with a male the same as one lies down with a woman, both of them have done a detestable thing. They should be put to death without fail. Their own blood is upon them.

Leviticus 18:22- And you must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing.

I don't agree with your sarcasm. Nobody is claiming that gay marriage is the only threat to the institution of marriage. Obviously, more than half our celebrities don't take much of anything seriously, unless it gets them extra publicity.

I object to gay marriage, and I also object to ridiculous 55-hour celebrity marriages, and the idiotic ease with which marriages can be annulled or terminated.

But, these are separate issues, and must be dealt with separately. The issue of gay marriage can be dealt with through legislation. But you can't legislate every stupid detail of life to make sure idiots like Spears behave correctly. Its called choosing your battles.

Let all the "Briney Spears" of the world create their own headaches, since decisions like hers have their own social consequences.

Are you freaking kidding me? Just like allowing people to purchase condoms condones pre marital sex or extra marital affairs right. Or that by not allowing the sell of alcohol or tobacco to minors then they won't ever do either one. Give me a break, this "logic" of yours is ludicrous. If they are going to do it, nothing you do or say is going to change that. Do you seriously think that if they can't get married it's going to make a difference? Dude, where have you been? They aren't allowed to get married now but they are still homosexual. If they are gay, they were born that way. They will continue in the homosexual lifestyle, not by choice but because God has made them this way.
