Some people say skinny dipping started in 1855, but I think it was more like 1845 or so. Who's right?- Searching Steve

Probably as long as there have been country boys in the USA. In fact, probably before there was a USA. There were undoubtedly Native American skinny dippers.

That was how people bathed before indoor plumbing (i.e. 2006 in some places in the U.S.). Skinny dipping now is just nostalgic.

duh - Adam (from Adam and Eve) had no clothing therefore he was skinny dipping the first time he bathed and he WAS the first guy - of course I'm assuming that the Garden of Eden was located in modern day USA ;-)
