Those are really just titles. If you get a degree in the "arts" such as Mathematics, English, Pol Sci etc. you'll usually get a BA. If you get a degree in Engineering, Physics or any other natural science, Computer Science etc. you'll usually get a BS. Some universities will offer a BS in a field rather than a BA provdided certain additional requirements are met.

The answer depends on what the B.S. and B.A. are in- what fields?
A Bachelor in Science may get more job offers if the individual has a lot of computer skills. The B.A. may also get job offers- liberal arts majors have their "hands" in many areas- and, just like the fellow with the B.S., the more computer skills he/she has the better.
And, just to add another comment- the next step is the Master's Degree- (also depends on which field it is in)

It depends. It depends on which terms you're asking that question. What do you mean by "in general". Real hard question. :)
According to what I understand from "in general", I can say that B.S. leads to a career in science, in practical study, while B.A. leads to a career in arts and humanities, which could mean less rigid and more subjective way of thinking.
B.S. has to do with researching and building life and the world. B.A. is related to everything human and human-made.
Obviously, the answer would not be the same for everyone.

If you can get a BS, I'd recommend it. Generally speaking, it's a more structured course of study. At my school it also meant fewer language courses if you were in the College of Arts and Sciences. All the degrees conferred in the College of Business Administration were BS.

One is not any better than the other. What matters is what you plan on doing with your degree and what area you are interested in. If you are going into medicine it is probably better to major in science type area, a lawyer arts. if your want to be a teacher it will depend on what and who you want to teach.
