Social security is for people who retire between the ages of 62 and 70. There are certain conditions you need to meet before you are eligable.

As everyone else has said, there is a statement that estimates what you will receive based on you maintaining the same income until you are 62 to 70

There are a few circumstanses that will allow you to receive it now, but very few and very hard to get.

you should know this is NOT a welfare program, your father worked all his life and paid into it. You will have to do the same for a social security check.

You can find out by calling your local social security office and asking for an amortization paper of income in your name.
