Think of how all of the wild creatures on Earth are born free, and ask if anything so God-given and natural could possibly be anything but good and right. Of course, since we are evolved and usually civilized that absolute do-what-you-want-and-feel freedom does need to be curbed to some extent in the interest of the freedom and wellbeing of our fellow living beings. You just have to be careful not to confuse freedom as a philosophy and an idea with a definition of freedom as an action and as just doing whatever you want whenever you want to whomever you want.

Genuine freedom as an idea is as far from evil as it gets.

Evil is a concept and as such doesn't exist. Conditions and situations are either correct of incorrect. Freedom is the natural state for all living creatures. Freedom in its pure form for humans only exists among the most primitive peoples who have no government, money or formal religions. Anything less than this state is a restriction of freedom. If anyone anywhere in the technological world believes he or she is "free", that person is deluded by the illusion.

No way. But with freedom you have to be more responsible. The opposite of freedom is prison and communism. And you don't have much choices in either of those cases. I looooove Freedom. Don't you?
The people that need prison and communism are evil people like prisoners, because then they would not be able to make bad choices.

Freedom is not evil, it is a chance to do what you want, and it is the people who abuse their God given right to freedom and other peoples freedom and rights that are evil. . .

I don't think freedom exist. This is a so-called free country but they are a lot of us who don't reap the benefits. Rich people are free to do as they please... steal, kill, and feel. Poor people don't get those luxuries. If I steal food for survival I loose my freedom in exchange for jail. If I kill an intruder who tries to take the little I have in my humble home I loose my so-called freedom in exchange for death row. If I feel angry about the state of my existence in this world. I'm told to shut up about it. Where is this freedom for all.

there is no choice - it is freedom or - freedom

if you choose to put yourself under some order, you freely choose to do that - and you become respnsible for everything you do under the orders of that authority

if you give up your own mind and lend your body to another's purposes, you are responsible for that decision - so you have to check up that your authority is good, or you suffer evil consequences

there is no logic in putting yourself under another, because by doing so you are implying that it is the power of that authority to know what is good for you, and if another can know what is good, so, equally well, can you

and you can always know far better than anyone else what is good for you - you know yourself better than anyone does

as a person in a democracy you are a ruler - you have to make the rules, so you can know when you are to oppose the rules and decisions and when not

to sacrifice your own mind to blind obedience to some authority you never judge, is to sacrifice all hope of happiness, all hope of pursuit of happiness
