This applies to both men and women - I filed for divorce a year and a half ago and wehave been separated for 8 months she is in a nursing home and not returning but her stuff is still here - what should I do with it ? I am sick of her stuff here to remind me its like everywhere and when my girlfriend comes I know it offends her so what should I do with it all ?she is not able to do it herself - I would like the best solution not just pitch it or burn it

WE BOTH AGREED TO DIVORCE - so dont throw the vows at me - but in the course of things she ended up in nursing home and is unable to care for herself she is 42 - I am 40 - I was always there for her but people grow apart - it happens

ask her what she would like you to do with it. Ask her if she wants you to give it away or have a sale and she would get the $ from it. Don't forget to ask if she wants any of it. Either way it should be up to her. If she doesn't want to sell it then ask her where you should take it. goodluck

You say you filed for a divorce, but are you actually divorced? If your not divorced you have no right to discard her belongings. Can you not give her belongings to her parents or family members? What happened to, for better or worse, in sickness and in health. Don't understand people today. Marriage vows are a waste of time.

Does she have family you can give it to? Children, a sister, parents? I understand that it must be hard on you to go on with memories of hers there to remind you of her. Just have some patience and do the right thing. If no family will take it then I believe that you probably have abided by a statue of limitations for the amount of time a person has to get their belongings.

If she's not coming back at all, sell it at a yard sale, give it to Goodwill or donate it to the nursing home. Make sure there's nothing there that she wants or needs. Or maybe rent a storage bin...

Why don't you ask her? If she is not able to make that decision, then ask her family. If that does not work, ask your attorney what you should since you would not want to be accused of stealing. I guess you could always put it all in a storage facility until the details are worked out. So, there you go......lots of options.

It doesn't matter if you both agreed to divorce, "What God put together, let NO MAN put asunder." It's not up to you. In the eyes of God, you will always be married until one of you is dead. You are cheating on your wife. You are in my prayers, go back to your wife. If she will not have you, you are on your own. It doesn't matter what you two decide, you are married. You cannot be with another woman.

If she has some family near you should give it to them or at least ask them what to do with it. You could also contact her and tell her that you will put her things in storage but she should make arrangements to pay for it.

Talk to her family and friends. See if they want any of the things, or if they will keep it for her. If they don't care, pack it up and give it to some charity.

Get her permission and sell it in a garage sale, then split the money u earned.
