just the stain on it, and you'll have to sand into the wood to get the stain that the bleach will leave, so don't put it on your table (it's okay to wipe down a table with a cleaning mixture with bleach in it, but not straight bleach, but anyone stupid enough to do that deserves to ruin their table.

If you mean can bleach ruin the finish of a wooden table, the answer is yes.

If you mean can bleach ruin the structure of the table the answer is, it would take a long time and a lot of bleach.

Oh, and bleach can ruin your skin, eyes, and lungs. And clothes if you use to much.

yes, especially if there is no finish on the wood. It can actually remove or "spot" the color of the wood.

If there is a finish, the bleach may not hurt if you wipe it up right away and re-wipe with clean water.

If you do bleach raw wood, the only choice is either paint to cover the entire surfade, or bleaching the entire surfact to remove all color, then go back and add stain.

However, this usually does not produce very desirable results, because the bleach removes all pigment, including the lights and darks of the grain that make wood so beautiful.

If it's wood with a thick, polyurathane finish--the kind of finish that looks like a layer of plastic, then you can wash it with soap and water and probably spray it with Windex. But I would never use bleach on furniture.

If it's wood with a varnish, the kind of fine finish that brings out the natural glow of the wood, then using anything except specially formulated wood cleaning products is absolutely a mistake.

Direct bleach, left on it would. If you spill it and hurry and wipe it off, it might be OK. Go over it with lots of good furniture polish!
