I do anyway because i nearly broke my leg the other day when i mis placed my footing and fell down stairs because i couldnt see where i was going as the rims of the glasses were so big!!!

I really have problems understanding this trend!
Why soooo big?
Not sure about them being hazarous to the wearers health as much as its damaging for the people around to see people wearing them!
Each to their own however, at least trends soon pass!

I used to work in a sunglasses shop. I think is sad, how people would wear something so incredibly ugly and expensive just because is " fashion"
OK, if the big glasses are IN, you can buy a pair that's a bit bigger, but not something that covers half of your face, has "crystals" al over and has a BIG HUGE logo telling everyone you can BUY certain make. nd usually the "fashion" ones have crappy lenses anyway, they're supposed to be 100% UV and optically correct, but they break easily, don't block much light and the big rims get in the way, So really, DO NOT BUY big names fashion glasses

Sunglasses are never hazardous to your health because they protect against UV rays which ARE hazardous to your health. The bigger frames cover more skin around your eyes which can prevent wrinkles (crows feet), sun spots, protect your vision, lessen your chance of skin cancer,etc. I don't know about the big rims though, that just depends on your personal preference, big rims dont really make a difference.

Contrary to being losing cool points on your fall, if you have big glasses that protect against UV rays and are polarized they can be better than the real small glasses.

umm actually bigger sunglasses are better for your eyes because they cover EVERYTHING and dont let the sun come through - like from the sides or anything....regular glasses dont really do anything except accesorize, so if you want to protect your eyes then wear big ones.

I guess you are blonde,try taking them off when you are indoors next time !
Or perhaps dont drink the bottle of gin before trying the stairs !

you can get big lenses...not having the rims on them...you try on glasses the same way you try on clothes....look at all angles before buying
