I tried it once on the many times I tried to quit smoking. It does help ease that intense craving, so that you don't feel like you want to rip someone's head off every time you have a craving. lol My husband, though, didn't like it. The first step was too much for him, I can't remember exactly but it gave him a physical reaction, the shakes I think. Honestly, I tend to think it's mind over matter. Be determined to quit. Tell yourself you don't want to smoke anymore and you're done. Period. My husband and I quit by ourselves, without aids, after having spent years trying and failing. They key for us was getting to a point where we really wanted to do it. We'd just had enough of it.

Oh, PS! Be prepared.... the biggest problem I found I had was the hand to mouth habit. I tend to miss that more than the actualy cigarette or nicotine. I sucked on lollipops (for months I always made sure I had a sucker in the house. It was a crisis if we ran out! lol) and my husband took up chewing gum (he chews a piece every time he used to have a smoke, like after meals and whatnot).
