I don't think so. I imagine things have already been put in place for whoever will succeed Castro.

Don't know if it was a movie or not. Maybe you should write one of your own about it, anyway.

Raoul has been the heir apparent since the sixties, and during this time, he has been head of the Cuban military. Scramble is not a verb that comes to mind regarding this situation.....he's had plenty of time to get his ideas together.

Intestinal bleeding is a symptom of colon cancer, and Fidel is the right age for this to be a potential problem. I believe that he is alive, and undergoing aggressive cancer therapy. The Cuban medical community is relatively advanced, and if there is something that is beyond them, they have plenty of friends overseas that can offer resources. I would look for a slow decline, and eventual demise.

Raoul is said to be more pragmatic than his big brother, and I have heard that under his rule, a Chinese style capitalism might evolve. Cuba is rich in resources, and the command economic model has been shown to be unworkable. Look for new resorts, eco tourism, an expansion of their oil industry, and possibly, a return to the Havana of old, with Casinos, night clubs, prostitution and a good time for anyone willing to pay.

I think that this should not concern us.

It literally makes me sick to listen to my fellow Americans wish for death of another human being that has never killed Americans. He is a communist and a dictator that is all. He is different than we are.. that is all.

And many many Cubans happen to love their country. Like that man who came over here to get his little boy years ago. We offerred him all kinds of things to stay but he stated he loved Cuba and wanted to raise his son there.

That was his right. We might not like Cuba or it's politics but why be literally happy at the death of a human being just because that human being doesn't conform to our way of thinking?

No. I'm sure Raul knows what to do. He was one of the leaders of the revolution. People say he's more pragmatic than his brother, so I'm sure he knows what to do. He's also less caring, so he won't care what the people of his country think about his decisions.
