migraines can be triggered by many different things - allergies, food allergies, additives, chemical sensitivity, overexertion, stress, areyou taking any new meds? birth control?...

try keeping a food and activity journal and note when you have migraines - maybe you can narrow it down to certain foods or situations.
how often do you get them? do you notice anything that usually triggers them or do they just come out of 'nowhere'? what do you do to get rid of them?
the reason for feeling sick...your digestive system 'shuts' down so to speak and if you've eaten anything right before the migraine or during it, chances are you'll either be sick to your stomach or praying to the porcelin god a few times.
make yourself an ice pack. (i usually dump two trays of ice in a towel and wrap it up with a scrunchie) go into my room where it is totally dark, make sure the ac is on and the fan is blowing right in my face. lay down so that the area where the migrine is is laying on the pillow. like line come on the left side, i lay so the left side of my head is on the pillow, the little bit of pressure helps. rest the ice pack right on your head where the pain is. close your eyes and think about nothing but sleep.

the reason the ice works for me is because all a headache really is, is swollen blood vessels. the ice helps to numb the pain and cause the vessels to constrict, this relieves some of the pain allowing you to fall asleep. 49 times out of 50 this works for me. i hope it works for you too. when i wake up the headache is gone.

Sounds like you are having intense allergy related headaches. A doctor told me the key to preventing these is to take a dose of over the counter allergy medication ( such as Benadryl or Chlor-Trimeton) every night before bed during allergy season. This keeps a very low dose of antihistamine in your system and prevents the reaction from becoming severe. He explained that if you wait until you actually have the allergy symptoms it will take much stronger medicines and will cause you to take higher doses for more length of time. Once I started doing this - I have not had a severe allergy headache in 5 or 6 years.

Sounds like a migraine. There are good prescription medications to prevent or ward off these headaches. Talk to your doctor.

My first thought was to wonder if it's a migraine, but if it goes away with an allergy pill, it almost sounds like a sinus problem. I'd talk to your doctor.

Sounds like you might be allergic to something you're not aware of. Have your doctor run an allergy test & maybe you can find out what it is.
