NFC wildcard game

Down 38-14 in the third quarter Terell Owens began mouthing off his teamates but Micheal Strahan pointed at the scoreboard and said look at the score. After this the 49ers scored 25 unanswered points to beat the Giants. However, New York did have a chance to win on the final play of the game with a field goal attempt. But a botched snap resulted into a feeble pass play that fell incomplete. The Giants were also called for having an illegal man downfield on the play, and the game ended.

Vikings Vs. Eagle in the Superbowl 39 playoffs.

clock ticking down the 4th quarter, the Vikings were down by a bit less then a touchdown, and they fake punted the ball... would have scored a touchdown on that easy play and won the game but Randy Moss walked off the field during the play into the locker room(The Punters target was to a suppose to be wide open Moss.) And that was the result of a heartbreaking loss for the Vikings fan. Anyone remember that game?

Well, being an Iowa Hawkeye fan, we have seen our share, but the one that will stick in our craw for a long time is last years Outback Bowl. Sure, we didn't play particularly well, but we fought back in the second half to be in a position to win. The officiating throughout the game was horrid. In the 4th Quarter, we had just scored and was within 7 points of winning. We lined up for an onside kick, worked beautifully, we got the ball back inside the 40. But, oh oh, fllag fliies. They called one of our players off-sides on the kick off!! Are you kidding me?? The film clearly showed he was not. The official calling it wasn't even near this player. No official worth his pay makes such a petty call when the game is on the line. We were robbed of a chance to win that game. Talk about going from low to high then getting kicked in the gut. @#$#$# referees. I feel better now.

NCAA: When Florida State loss to Miami back in 2002 on a missed field goal. That year Miami had the best offense and defense in the country, and FSU worked so hard to keep them under wraps. But as usual a missed field goal was the outcome. I hate loosing to the Hurricanes !!!

NFL: Back in 1998 on Thanksgiving Day Dallas played Minnesota and a lot of hype was being built up around rookie Randy Moss facing off against Deion Sanders. Randy pretty much had his way with him catching 3 passes for 170 yards and 3 TD's. But in his defense, Deion was nursing a turf toe injury. But it was still embarrassing to see Deion get put to shame, and to see Dallas take that hard loss.

OK I kinda agree with ohioskatekid as I was thinking that would have had to be so heartbreaking to the Colts. Another one I could think of was Superbowl XXX, which was the Steelers QB Neil O'Donnell having a good regular season THEN throwing the Superbowl.

when the Colts lost to the Steelers in the playoffs this past season. they were losing, they gave the ball away, got the ball back on a fumble, drove down the field and missed a game-tying field goal. that wasnt heartbreaking to me, but it was to the Colts!
