He is quite fussy mind - favourite veg is carrot, hates the outdoors and likes to sleep a lot!

Here is a present for both of you. Your piggie will love them. To many carrots can cause fatty liver disease and kidney problems. I don't feed them at all. Mine are all over 6 years old.
Give him a little piece of strawberry and tell him happy birthday from the piggy dude.

Timothy hay is beneficial for the teeth and body and pigs love it. Make him a toy suspended on a thick wire in his cage that he can pull back and forth. Bend a clothes hanger at the end and attach wooden treats with holes in them. Then attach to the side of the cage. Bend the end of the hanger to keep in place. This will provide many hours of pulling and chewing. Guinea pigs love to hide and sleep. Find a box and cut an entrance. Then turn upside down. He will love hiding in it. If you have an old hand towel, he will drag that in there too. SUPERPETUSA.COM has a whole list of items available at pet stores for guinea pigs and probably available on line too.

I think you should get it a little ball, or treats, or a little house, OR some kind of cotton stuff that they can sleep on.

get a ball or a chewy stick. they have peanut butter ones. or they have special little houses to sleep in they are sooooo cute. they have ones shaped like cars and houses.

i just found out that my guinea loves nettle sticks. if your in the uk you can get them from pets at home stores.
they are a real treat for them x

Mine loves watermelon. It could eat it night and day. She also likes raisins and dried apricots.
