Consignment shops rip you off, garage sales can be tedious, especially if you don't have huge amounts to sell and don't want to bother with picky people who want to bargain down your already low prices.Sell them yourself on ebay.
If items are not costly, group similar items in small "lots" to make effort of packing and shipping worthwhile, and to make shipping fee worth the cost to buyers. It is more fun to check your computer to see if you've sold something than to drive to several stores where they tell you your clothes are worthless, and infer you have bad taste.

Go to your local yellow pages and look up resale clothing shops in your area. Sometimes your local beauty shops can recommend the best shops, when you get to chatting.
