I just read a book called "Psychopaths at Work" and although the people you may have in mind probably aren't truly psychopathic, the book will give you some valuable insight into manipulation techniques in general and how to protect yourself against them.

All you can do is not be around them because that is a
pattern of behavior like abuse and violence that just never
seems to go away. Now if you don't give me ten points I will
