Because the NBA is a billion dollar business. He made dress codes for all of the players. For 19 million dollars a year, I think dressing professionally isn't a big deal. He can dress like 50 cent outside of the work place.

Stern is about as racist as anyone here. He's brought the NBA through some tough times; especially with the dozens of arrests for drugs and rapes, assaults and attempted murders and other crimes some of these players have done. He's stood by many of the players and has been one of the best commish's in any sport. Get over it. This is business. This isn't MTV.

Commissioner Stern needs a poster child and it's LeBron. Now it's a sorry state for basketball. Just think LeBron didn't go to college and he stands head and feet over the field. If you can go the Middle East and defend this countries honor at 18, then it shouldn't be out of reach for an 18 yr old to find work in the NBA, if he's qualified.

becuase stern is a racist. He wont let his players dress "hiphop" wise. If I were commissioner, I would let them dress any way they wanted too.
