Find something that you enjoy doing, that doesn't feel like a chore. I started biking a while ago, and I've lost 10 lbs. I enjoy it, so its easy to do.

Think to yourself the outcome of working out: stronger arms, leaner abs etc. also you dont have to workout everyday for 3 hours. Just go for 20-30 mins for 3 days a week. i.e. M/W/F
After you workout you'll have loads of energy
Hang in there!

when i motivate myself, automatically i think about the extra pounds, the excess flab, the lack of stamina i have if i don't do something about it. and then when i do go for a run and do the cardio and weights at the gym, i'm motivated for the next time because i get such a high from working out and having my muscles ache. i get motivated easily thinking about both the benefits and disbenefits of not doing fitness.

There is no definite answer for this. You just need to start exercising. There is no magic potion or super pill. I had the same problem, but I got over it once I started working out regularly.
