Are boots needed for winter in Baltimore, Maryland?

I am an international student from asia currently studying in Florida and will be spending the whole winter season in Baltimore, Maryland. Your kind reply will surely be appreciated.

you wont use them often maybe when there is heavy snow, Baltimore really is more of a city than anything so they keep their streets snow free for the most part you won't have too many headaches if money is an issue with you I wouldn't bother buying boots, maybe spend a few extra dollars on some extra socks to keep your feet warm and to change them if they get a bit wet. Baltimore is a great area have a good time there take it in and take your nose out of the books every now and then to enjoy it.

someone above said the temp averages at 20-30 I can assure you it doesn't that would mean Baltimore would stay BELOW FREEZING for the whole winter and it doesn't even come close to that, I cant even remember a stretch of time where they had temps below freezing long enough to freeze over small retention ponds to go iceskating its been YEARS since that has happened. Honestly just get some extra socks you wont need boots.

The temperature averages 20-30 degrees farenheit in dead of winter with some nights dropping into the teens and occasionally single digits.

YOU MAY NEED BOOTS AND A WARM WINTER COAT IT CAN GET VERY COLD IN WINTER TIME THERE. MAKE SURE YOU GET BOOT WARMERS OR HEAVY INSULATED SOCKS ALSO ENJOY THE SNOW

yes u do need boots there because they get a lot snow there just like we do an it get very cold there just like poughkeepsie does but it is very nice there we like it even for the summer is very great but we cant there because money is very tight we would love to go there agin in the summer but it does get very cold there in the winter so u do need boots an heavy coats so be perpared for it an good luck on ur studys,
