I am 25, a mother of 3 very loving children, and very stressed out at times. I keep getting a sharp pain in my head, mostly on the left side by the temple. The pain comes and goes, it will only last 5-30 seconds then it is gone. Sometime the pain doesnt come back for days or even weeks, but lately it will come 2 time one after another then again about an hour later. My boyfriend is really worried about it, because my mothers mother died of a brain tumor. It scares me too at times but I cant afford to go to the doctor especially if it is nothing to worry about. I was told that the pain could be tied to stress and that i should just take it easy, so do you think it could be stress or something more serious than that???

So many pains can mimic different problems, If you and your man are worried about it, the only person who could check you over or run tests of any kind would be a doc. I can relate to the (I can't afford it part, but it might be worth the money to find out what's really goin on. Hope it's nothing serious.

I've had the same symptoms for about three to four years, my doctors keep telling me that its derived from stress, I have noticed that when I am worried or have to fly I get the sharp pains, sometimes it goes down my left arm, it feels like a needle piercing down. I still worry but my MD doesn't think that it's serious, good luck

Pain is the body's way of telling you something is wrond, so it is NOT normal. Stress can cause your pain, but it could be a lot of things. I'd check with the doctor.

Most headaches are from eye strain or stress, but if they are persistant and you can go get a free checkup at a public clinic or county hospital.

It is possible that this is because of stress. Try to manage it, there are certain techniques, like breathing techniques, etc. Our mental health, I mean headaches depend much on our life styles (how much do exercise, or are you outdoors?) Just in case, I suggest you see neurologist.

IT COULD BE STRESS BUT IT COULD BE YOUR BLOOD PRESSURE AS WELL. DO YOU HAVE HEALTH CLINCS WHERE YOU LIVE? MOST OF THEM WILL CHARGE YOU WHAT YOU CAN AFFORD TO PAY. IT COULD BE NOTHING BUT WITH 3 CHILDREN DO YOU WANT TO TAKE A CHANCE ON YOUR LIFE. GET IT CHECKED OUT AND THEN MAYBE YOU CAN STOP THE STRESS. IT COULD ALSO BE CLUSTER HEADACHES
