Or are all teen- or young woman- sized jeans made for people with the build of a toothpick? Am I the only person alive who has hips? And WHY are jeans made so tight that you have to hop up and down to get into them? It mystifies me...

Plus size. Thank you. Very much. NOT. I'm not fat.

I agree with you. I am not fat either. I have hips, thighs and a booty. Interesting how, if you're bigger than a size 5 you're considered too big for modeling. I've been trying to get into the modeling industry and I'm too small for plus-size modeling and too big for standard modeling. Anyways, yes. I normally wear a size 9 but at Sears I'm an 11. Strange, huh? I like to get jeans with some stretch to them because they tend to last longer. I like mine fitted...but I've seen some that are a little bit looser in the thighs and bell-bottomed which are quite cute. I agree completely though...

well since all thses ppl are afarid to be big they go on diets so their are more skinny ppl, besides that they loose so much weight that they nedd a small size like 0's 1's 2's. so the movie star give the young ppl the image that tight is cool, but all that cause is a yeast infection, well us with hips just have to hunt for that right size that ift without the great sensation of a yeast infection, good luck with the hunt for a cute pair of jeans that dont look like you are a street walker

Dear Claire,

It isn't just you! It applies to all women; especially those of us with meat on those bones! Try one size larger than you usually wear, and since we try them on before we buy, look at the different manufacturers. Not all of them cut their sizes the same. A 10 in one brand could be an 8 or 12 with another company. Sometimes those little stores may have just what you want as opposed to the larger department stores. Good luck.

Jeansare made like that show off "accessories". Sounds crued but it is true. If you don't like them fitting that tight try a bigger size or opt for the baggy jean look. There are a lot of different styles out there these days.

It's not you. The current fad is to wear tight/fitting clothes. Just wait another 3 months and the style will change. Why would you wear a style that doesn't accommodate your figure? Create yet another fashion trend and go with what you like and are comfortable with. CLOTHES DO NOT MAKE A PERSON - - RATHER IT IS THE PERSON WHO MAKES THE CLOTHES!

who cares what size the pants are if they fit you right. buy a pair of pants that fit and they will make you look thinner or however you want to look. no matte a 2 or a 22, if they are the right cut, you will like a whole lot better.

It's not just you. Manufacturers make jeans crazy small because society and the media place SO much stress on being skinny.
