I've never burned a dvd before or anything but I was wondering if you can burn a widows media file onto a dvd and it play in a regular dvd player? I made a movie through windows movie maker so I was wondering what I need to do to it to get it on a dvd. Any help would be welcomed.

no, DVD players will only play .VOB files, the normal DVD movie format. you'll have to find some thing that can convert files to .VOB.
