What's the ODDEST news story you've heard/read lately and please provide a link if you have it. What is it about and why do you think it's straight/weird/odd?

It's not really an odd story... But it's about where people in China are redoing the English on bi-lingual signs for the 2008 Olympics.
I've been in China recently, and would have to agree... The grammar and some of the words chosen don't fit at all.

A while back we had a chicken cross the road and get ticketed for doing so. THis happened in a neighboring community. THe owners of the runaway were fined and refused to pay the fine. They took the issue to court and won because the chicken under California law is considered a pet in this case and therefore is not livestock.
I just wished someone would have been able to ask the chicken why it was crossing the road ending the debate on that highly contenious situation.

"Lion Mutilates 42 Midgets in Cambodian Ring-Fight". Thats the greatest headline ever. If you google it you can get it on the bbc news website. It was later revealed to be a load of rubbish but who cares!!
