hows the online course ? is it really helpful? I can't afford $300-400. And the community colleges dont offer any GRE tutorial. Most people speak highly of Barrons. I havent heard much about Prineton Review ( i also didn't know that offer online GRE course)

I am trying to study for it as well (urg!). I have downloaded all the tests from the GRE website and printed them out (alot cheaper than the book and same exact content). They also have practice exams on the website that you can go through.

I would suggest doing these exams and reading the explanation of the answers that you did not answer correctly.

I am also taking a course through my Community College that is only $35 that helps you prepare for the GRE.

After that...cross your fingers...get a good night's sleep...that's about all you can do!!!

GOOD LUCK!!!!

PS-Try your COMMUNITY colleges...they may be cheaper!? I know that Sylvan Learning Center (and others like that) offer them at MUCH higher rates. Good Luck!

I signed up for the Princeton Review online course. It was not very cheap (maybe $300) but the price forced me to take advantage of everything it offered. It has many features a book cannot offer you, especially free online chats with people who can help you understand why you missed questions. The vocab "hit list" was invaluable, many words from it were on the test. I nailed the GRE and the online course had a lot to do with it (and I swear, I don't work for Princeton Review - this is no ad).

Other places have guides, too. Go to Border's or another bookstore and peruse them before buying. Good luck!

It isn't a hard exam. The math is high school level.

I just went in cold & did very well.
