The conservatives have a very black and white view of the world.
Sometimes death is the only solution that makes sense to them.
As for Castro i do not support that regime, but i support the will of the people of Cuba. When he dies it will be up to them.
As you may have taken a course in college you know that the Cuban revolution wasn't so much LOVE for communism as an attempt to keep out prostititon, gambling and other influence from the American Crime syndicates.
Castro turned bad and sided with Communist to stay in power. Thats why he sent Che to fail.

First, not all conservatives are hoping for Castro's death. I could care less whether or not he lives or dies. Nothing will change there. Second, since you are such a big fan of Cuban communism, way not see if you could go and stay? Apparently, you are unaware of how poor those people actually are and how cruel Castro and friends have been to opposition. Even their sister escaped to Florida. How bad could it have been for her if she had stayed, yet she chose freedom. However, if you'd rather not have freedom, I don't think any of us would really miss you.

It's not a Democrat or Republican issue. No American party cares to help the Cuban people. They'd rather garner political power and votes by bashing a despot like Castro, than help bring change through economic ties with the Cuban people.

Yes, Castro was generous. He gave people poverty, illiteracy, poor living conditions, rationing, and the chance to live under a dictatorship. He had his secret police who kept everyone afraid. It's the people of Cuba who are praying for Castro's death. Hopefully, things will change for the better when he dies (if he isn't already dead. The people of Cuba wil benefit when he is dead.
